2002-August 27: 2002 Annual Meeting
The 2002 Annual meeting and dinner was held at Peking Palace. 30 members and guests were in attendance. We were pleased to see Audrey Edwards and Deb Vieira. Both have had surgery (hip and shoulder respectively) and were unable to do Taiji this spring. The annual meeting voted to reduce dues for this year from $90 to $75. Treasa Thomas stepped down after serving as Treasurer for 3 years, during which time she did a fantastic job. Darby Rioux was elected as our new treasurer. Barbara Blair will stay on as Assistant Treasurer and will also be taking on the responsibility of doing PR work for the club in the form of press releases about our activities and events.
2002-February 13: Chinese New Year Banquet
The mid-winter banquet at Peking Palace was well attended by members and their guests. Two members were honored for finishing: Bunny Lavender and Ben Gutierrez. Ben was not able to be present because he moved out of state shortly after finishing. There was a brief business meeting that consisted mostly of announcements about the spring practice session schedule.
